How To Write Sales Copy – The Art of Storytelling

Sometime a ago, I wrote a blog about the first time I made money online, my first failure online, and ultimately my first time in business for myself (you can read that article here). Since that time I’ve received very good feedback, which was quickly followed by almost endless questions about my writing style and how I became a good writer.

First, I don’t think I’m a good writer at all, and secondly, while I don’t think I’m good, there is “something” that I learned about writing that I didn’t even realized I knew until I saw it being explained right in front of me.

I can explain about what I do, but the how I do it I leave to Andrew Stanton and his TED talk – The clues to a great story.

If marketing in it’s simplest form is telling someone about something, storytelling is the part that makes it successful. Remember, that as a marketer, your survival depends on your ability to connect with people, and inspire them to answer to your call to action. Learning how to be a storyteller will help build trust, keep their attention and make them “want” to be your customer.
